MEET THE ARTIST – LINDA PAULT Back in ’94 Linda Pault had a tough decision to make; accept a job as a Disney Artist, illustrate children’s books or follow her intuitive inner voice. She decided to listen to herself and began RT9 Designs, Inc. in 1996. Born in 1958, Linda has resided and worked most of her life as an Artist in Poughkeepsie, NY. When asked how long she has been doing art she often chides “Ever since I redesigned my Flintstones coloring book!” She graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Advertising and fell into a long stride as a designer around the Tri-state area. Life as a Freelance Artist was good, but she longed for an opportunity to ‘create art and sell products!’ Linda has always manifested her dreams and with the help of family, friends and ‘an amazing bunch of customers’ has earned and burned her way into a strong entrepreneurial position as the creative force behind the rapidly expanding RT9 Designs art publishing phenomenon. People often expect that she is a Pool Player herself and she loves when they ask so she can repeat her favorite line “No, I just put really good ‘draw’ on the ball!” (Haha) If you have the opportunity to meet up with Linda at one of her many tour stops, you should. Her energy is intoxicating and inevitably gets off on major tangents with her love for people who then gently remind her to get back to the subject at hand...her art! One of Ms. Pault’s favorite motto’s is ‘Work Hard, Play Hard’; she does both and believes that creating a successful balance between one’s work and personal life is a healthy goal for anyone. With all that said, she created her cinema styled ‘Movie Set Series of Billiard Art’ and marketed it accordingly. From Game rooms, Media rooms to custom Home Theatres, she strives to accommodate dreams and passion for ‘Play’ in ways that will continue to enhance people’s experiences. She knew she was selling herself as well as the concept of her business and humbly portended to become everyone’s favorite ‘Downstairs Artist!’ Artist, Philosopher, Visionary to the core! Stay tuned for writings from Linda Pault. She has a lot to say about art technique, storylines, publishing, philosophy, spirituality…and anything else people want to know! |
